and local taxes when i was governor compared to when george allen was. just like unemployment, we were better than other states when i was governor. i gogovevern in a tough time. it was in the midst of the worst recession since the 1930's. in that time, i did keep taxes low. i brokered the deal to give the the the state tax and took tens of thousands of low-income virginians off of the tax rolls. i think our economy would be stronger and the state financially if we were investing more in infrastructure, and one of the things i have been interested in, when i was goveor virginia was ranked repeated the most business- friendly in the nation, and we are slipping because they do not think virginia is investing in infrastructure we need. if we need to invest in order to create jobs and drive the economy forward and infrastructure -- airports ports, those are perfect investments to make. i going to continue to do what i think is right for the country. one of the things that i would really like to see happen is i think finding this compromise on the bush tax cuts is very important. if the pr
